“Be present in all things, and thankful for all things.”
– Maya Angelou

We are nearing the end of this very tumultuous year! Right now, we still don’t know the outcome of the election. That, and a lot of added stressors this year may have made it easy to forget what we are thankful for and what we already have such as health, happiness, friends, family, pets, enough food to eat, hand sanitizer :-), toilet paper…! But, let us agree that even though all things are not under our control, as much as possible we do control ourselves. We can watch our health; what fuel we put into the physical body, our sleep patterns, the media we choose to engage with, among other things.

In our private coaching, we assist clients to find peace within physically, emotionally and spiritually. We provide them with a Personalized Lifestyle Plan that includes a focus on Sleep, Movement, Energy, Live Foods, Awareness of the Physical Body, and more.

You may feel that you have literally tried everything to feel better yet still you feel helpless, without hope, and have stopped trusting yourself.

I assist my clients to live life fully, with grace, gratitude and peace, happy and joyful in a life full of satisfaction and fulfillment.

We work together in small group workshops to learn simple and replicable healing modalities and we move toward and through group classes into private coaching to learn the science behind the techniques. We teach simple breath-work, visualization and meditation and practice together until these become second nature and begin to replace old habits and unhelpful behavior. We co-create the practices until our clients are seeing real results in their daily lives.

We work together to clarify old daily patterns that no longer serve and to organize and let go of these old thought patterns and habits, and we reorganize their lives around positive mental and physical changes until their lives are changed and incredible results are achieved.

We are currently offering an advanced level healing workshop including meditation, and we will again offer the Level I Basic Healing workshop in January. Additionally, every Tuesday there is a basic/beginner class on the mat suitable for all bodies.

I’ve Been Thinking…
(Some thoughts, ruminating, and ideas)

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what we are doing to ourselves stress-wise with this election, COVID, working from home, wearing masks and staying in quarantine, restricting ourselves of what we would have previously described as a “normal” life. And, that chances of our lives returning to “normal” any time soon are pretty slim it seems.

My thoughts are to begin living a gentler life. Practice the art of not judging yourself, and having compassion for yourself. If you find that you don’t have the same “drive” that you did a month or six months ago, be ok with that. In other words, treat yourself as gently as you would treat a loved one suffering from stress. Stress and Anxiety manifest themselves within the physical body as illness. Being aware of them is a great first step in the healthy handling and treatment of them. Notice, recognize, and acknowledge yourself for the changes going on around you, respect yourself, and love yourself.

Yoga Pose of the Month: Sukhasana or Easy Pose

Often, the simplest poses are the most effective. Because your sit bones are actually pressing into the ground in Sukhasana, you can tangibly feel the connection with the earth beneath you.

For some people, this is much more effective than poses where you need to visualize that connection. Try to create an even foundation for a more balanced effect (aka don’t favor one butt cheek!).

Tip: You might like to put one hand to your heart center, with the other hand or fingertips to the floor beside you. Notice how this makes you feel.

Move into the simple observation of the breath. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. Stay with this for a few moments. Congratulations. You have just spent a few minutes in grounding yourself for stress relief. Feel better!
